- Manage the seasonal style development
for specific apparel categories
- Manage garment fit and make approvals
from beginning thru photo samples
- Establish and issue graded specs
- Evaluate samples for fit, measurements,
pattern shaping, and functionality to insure fit
and proper styling
- Serve as the technical expert
ensuring that garments are in the appropriate fabrics,
measurements, and construction details
- Manage workflow, deadlines, and
communications processes with both internal and external
customers
- Communicate through written comments,
sketches, photos, or pattern making
- Translate the design concept
into specification packages which detail garment
measurements, design features, and construction requirements
- Develop and document construction
details, fabric and trim
- Supervise and/or maintain
style tracking information for each style throughout
the development and production processes
